Description
Heat pipe radiator is a new product produced by using heat pipe technology to make major improvements to many old radiators or heat exchange products and systems. There are two types of heat pipe radiators: natural cooling and forced air cooling. The thermal resistance of air-cooled heat pipe radiator can be made smaller, and it is often used in high-power power supplies.

Aluminum zipper fin: As we know, aluminum is a great thermal conductor and compared with other metal, it has better heat dissipation ability, the function of the fins is to dissipate the heat to the medium as soon as possible, so aluminum is the best material for the zipper fin, besides, aluminum alloy is very cost effective, it can save a lot of cost.
Heat pipe: It is a heat transferring element with extremely high thermal conductivity. It transfers heat through the evaporation and condensation of liquid in a fully enclosed vacuum tube. It uses fluid principles such as capillary action to play a similar refrigeration effect as a refrigerator compressor. It has a series of advantages such as high thermal conductivity, excellent isothermal property, heat flux density variability, heat flux direction reversibility, long-distance heat transfer, constant temperature characteristics (controllable heat pipe), thermal diode and thermal switch performance, etc. The heat sink composed of heat pipes has the advantages of high heat transfer efficiency, compact structure and small fluid resistance loss.
Copper plate: Becasue of copper has much better thermal conductivity than alumiunum, so usually we use a copper plate to contact the GPU to improve the heat conductivity which can transfer the heat from GPU faster than other metals and cool down the GPU.
How do I know what size heatsink to get?
Volumetric Thermal Resistance (Rv) – This equation and subsequent guidelines have been shown to closely estimate heat sink volume: V=(Q*Rv)/Delta T. The first step in using the chart below is to know the available airflow across the heat sink. As you know, the higher the airflow the smaller the heat sink.
